Privacy
Peptide Research Journal publishes reading material. It does not run a store, a patient portal, or a reader account. This page describes what the site itself handles. It is not a request for health information.
Ordinary visits
Reading an article does not ask for your name, postal address, telephone number, or payment details. The site does not build a public profile of readers and does not offer a mailing list. You can move through the sections, open a paper link, and leave without creating an identity on this journal.
Technical logs
The host that serves the site may keep ordinary server logs. Those logs can include the IP address of the connection, the date and time, the address of the page requested, the referring address, and a short description of the browser. They are kept so the site can be operated, secured, and repaired. They are not sold. They are not joined to a medical record. Logs are retained only as long as the host needs them for security and operations, and then discarded or overwritten in the ordinary course of running the server.
Cookies
Readers who are not signed in do not need an account cookie to read the journal. If you are an editor signed in to WordPress, the software sets the cookies it uses to keep that session and to remember that you are allowed into the dashboard. Those cookies are part of publishing the site, not part of tracking the audience. The comment form is not offered on articles, so the site does not set a cookie in order to store a public comment.
Search on this site
The search box looks through this journal’s own articles. The words you type are used to return the matching pages. They are not added to a marketing list, and they are not sent to an advertising network by this theme. A copy of the query can appear in the address bar and, like any other page request, in the host’s technical log described above.
What you should not send
Do not send medical information, lab reports, photographs of prescriptions, or details about another person’s health to this journal. The contact path is for corrections to the public record. A message that contains health data will not be used to give advice, and it should not have been transmitted. Please leave that material out.
Links to other sites
Articles link to PubMed, journal publishers, ClinicalTrials.gov, and public agencies. Those sites are not operated by this journal. When you follow a link, their privacy notices apply, and this page no longer does. The journal does not control their cookies, their accounts, or their logs.
Editors and the dashboard
People who write and edit the site have WordPress accounts. Their names, email addresses, and login details are stored so the journal can be published and so an editor’s session can be secured. That information is not displayed as a public directory of readers. It is available to people who administer this installation.
Children
The journal is written for adults who follow the research literature. It is not directed at children, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Questions
A question about this notice can be sent the same way as a correction, using the contact page. Include the sentence in this notice you are asking about. Do not include health information in that message.
